The deep parts of the trails are quite nice, but there's a ton of road noise of you aren't far into the woods.
It can be fairly muddy back here so be warned, especially if visiting after some rain. The highlands trail bypasses some of the narrow muddy areas that drop off into the river but also bypasses the rocks that can be fun to climb on.
Picturesque hiking trails for all skill levels. Tubing, fishing and kayaking also found here.
There's ample parking spread throughout the many entrances to the Hereford area but it can fill up quick on a nice day so you might want to have a backup option or two for parking.
Great place to hike, adventure and relax in nature. Not far off the beaten path also.
A pretty nice network of trails where you can somewhat choose your own adventure, either along ridges or along the water. There is some up and down back here but it's generally pretty tame and mostly flat or close to flat.
There are a lot of different hikes here. We took a path by the swimming hole & black walnut trees, over a bridge, headed up and around, circled back by the river. The hike/pace was a little too much for me: ~5 miles in 3 hours. But it was lovely, and not too challenging for balance-challenged people: I could cross the stream below, didn't have to walk across on the tree.
